Teo Saefkow is a queer Singer-songwriter and producer based in so-called Vancouver. Having self-produced two albums under the name ‘Scalawag,’ Teo is now moving in a new direction, crafting a more personal style inspired by the quiet, confessional folk of Leith Ross, mixed with the dynamic, philosophical indie-rock from the members of Boygenius. Teo sings about their experiences as a genderqueer person, growing up in a small town, and the failings of capitalism, colonialism, and religion. They also sing about love, family, and the importance of community.
